Rostec unit can produce 2 high-capacity turbines per year

MOSCOW, Jun 11 (PRIME) -- United Engine Corporation (UEC), part of Rostec, is ready to produce up to two high-capacity turbines GTD-110M per year, a company official told PRIME on Thursday. 

"UEC is ready for serial production of GTD-110M in the amount of up to 2 units per year with further  extension of production. We are currently negotiating contracts with generating companies," the official said.

Russia previously had no technologies for production of gas turbines with capacities above 110 megawatts. The first GTD-110M was earlier expected to be made in 2020.
